The AFC-1000 is an expandable analog/addressable fire alarm system designed for releasing applications, with a total capacity of 1270 addresses. This capacity can be increased using multi-point SLC modules. The control panel operates on the exclusive Potter protocol, supporting a comprehensive range of sensors and modules. The system can expand to include up to nine additional addressable Signaling Line Circuits (SLC), each capable of accommodating a maximum of 127 devices. Each SLC can consist of a mix of smoke sensors, heat detectors, or modules, supporting up to 50 ohms of impedance, and can use any wiring compliant with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
The AFC-1000 features a 10 Amp power supply, six Notification Appliance Circuits (NACs), and four Input/Output (I/O) circuits. Each NAC is rated at 3 Amps, while each I/O is rated at 1 Amp. All outputs are regulated and power-limited, with unique programmability for various functions, including steady signal, strobe synchronization, constant power, door holder power, or releasing. Strobe synchronization is compatible with Gentex, AMSECO, System Sensor, and Cooper/Wheelock devices, and with the exclusive Quadrasync feature, each output can support a unique brand while ensuring all strobes flash in unison. The I/Os are designed for inputs such as manual release stations and abort switches, offering nearly instantaneous response without requiring polling.
